Win a Salty & Sweet Gift pack ~ Ends 6/1 ~

My husband was thrilled to help me open up the Sweet & Salty Gift pack that was sent to me from General Mills through MyBlogSpark.

It included this super comfy t-shirt....think of a t-shirt that's already been washed and worn for years but looks like new! It actually feels like that. No heavy stiff cotton here. My hubby loves the retro look of the t-shirt along with all the awesome snacks we received including:

Cocoa Puffs Treats Triple Chocolate: An indulgent cereal bar that combines the great taste of Cocoa Puffs cereal and chocolate into one decadent treat, Cocoa Puffs Treats Triple Chocolate is perfect for satisfying any sweet tooth. These are so awesome! I felt like a kid having this as a mid-afternoon snack yesterday.

Bugles Hot Buffalo: Need something salty with a bit of a kick? Look no further than Bugles Hot Buffalo Crisp Corn Snacks, which blends the taste of hot buffalo sauce with crispy corn Bugles. My hubby loves these Bugles. I am not a fan of hot & spicy so he was excited to eat both of these snack bags immediately LOL.

Nature Valley Oats ‘N Dark Chocolate Crunchy Granola Bars: If you want the best of both worlds, give Nature Valley Oats ‘N Dark Chocolate Crunchy Granola Bars a try. These bars mix dark chocolate pieces, oats and crisp rice nuggets for a classic crunch and burst of whole grain goodness, making them a perfect natural snack that's high in fiber and protein, but low in saturated fat. These bars make perfect school snacks for myself (as a preschool teacher) and in my little one's lunch box.

These snacks are found exclusively at local convenience stores in your area.

Would you like your own Sweet & Salty Prize Pack that includes some delicious sweet & salty snacks, a super soft Bugles t-shirt & travel mug? If so, leave me a comment below with your email address.

One winner will be chosen at random on June 1, 2010.

General Mills provided me with the gift pack, information, and additional gift pack through MyBlogSpark™

Email Companies to Receive Product Coupons

Each week I email a few of my favorite brands and compliment them on the products I use (or give criticism, depends on my experience with them).

They, in turn, will generally send out an email response (so use a real email address - I suggest you get a separate email account such as yahoo or gmail to reduce the amount of spam in your main account). Also, in most cases, they will send you product coupons for FREE items or a stack of cents-off coupons. It's easy, free & allows you to reduce your grocery bill on items you truly love.

Here is a picture of what I have received this weekend in the mail:

Any particular items that you'd like to receive coupons for and don't know how to contact the company? I just google the manufacturer and find the answers but if you're looking for something and would like some help, just leave me a comment below.

Square Foot Garden Update.....check out my new garden beds

I was {so} excited to start this project this weekend I could barely sleep last night - silly huh?

My husband worked very hard putting together our new Amish Red Cedar 4x4 raised garden beds from SquareFootGardening.com.

We spent yesterday getting all the compost {we found shrimp/seaweed compost & cow manure based}, vermiculite {took some research to find this in Connecticut - we got it at Agway} & peat moss that we needed for the Mel's Mix that SquareFootGardening.com recommends. WOW is that stuff heavy {that's what my husband says lol I can't pick any of it up}.

He mixed it all together on a huge tarp and then put it into the boxes and my planters.

Then the grid goes on top to show the marks for each square foot. These were easy to install as well. We feel like we made a good investment since our last box was 4x8 and made by my dear hubby and it just overgrew and went crazy and I never took care of it. It just wasn't any fun :(

These new boxes are awesome and easy to reach into each square {that's why it's recommended that each box is no deeper than 4 feet so you can reach everything easily}.

I am off to work on the seeds now and make my layouts....more updates later!
